Augusta's financial hit: Worse than Martha Burk

The cost of renting a house in Augusta, Ga., for Masters week is down as much as 50 percent and ticket prices at eBay's Stubhub are down 15 percent, Bloomberg is reporting.

"I've been doing this longer than anybody in this town and this is as bad as I've seen it," Dianne Starr, president of Corporate Quarters, Inc., told Bloomberg. "We had 9/11 and then Martha Burk. This has hurt us worse than either one of those."
