Any '90s kid will appreciate these Rugrats-inspired Reptar Bars being sold

October 10, 2017

Odds are, if you clicked on this article, you spent an extended amount of time in the 90s watching Rugrats on Nickelodeon, either because you were a 90s kid and your parents put you in front of the TV or because you were a parent oddly entertained while you sat with your toddler, who watched the popular cartoon series.

And if you watched the show for any more than one episode, you're probably familiar with the power of the Reptar brand through the Rugrats airwaves. You might even have a couple of the songs brainwashed into your head. (Guilty...we're not so proud that we're capable of singing the Reptar Cereal commercial verbatim, or better yet, the dialogue on the episode where the kids go see Reptar on Ice.)

It appears that FYE, For Your Entertainment, has realized the strength of that Reptar brand -- and the store is bringing what was once just a cartoon creation -- the Reptar Bar -- to life as a real consumer product.

The holidays are coming up, so if you have a Millennial on your shopping list who spent too much time watching TV as a kid, you'll probably have success buying them one of these bars. Or if you're going to buy them for yourself, we won't judge.

You don't have to be a 90s kid to show some nostalgia for Rugrats and Reptar Bars. I'll always remember my father admitting, later in life, that he enjoyed watching Rugrats with my sister and me because of how well-written he thought the show was.

Just expect your tongue to actually turn green after eating one of these. You know, in the name of Reptar.
