Anthony Edwards not allowing questions until he finishes his McDonald's order is a move we can all get behind

We've said it before and we will almost certainly say it again - Anthony Edwards, the Minnesota Timberwolves former No. 1 overall pick, has quietly become one of the most likeable personalities in the NBA. And the only thing "quiet" about it is the fact he's playing for a small-market franchise.

Even still, Edwards has displayed an uncanny ability to go viral both on and off the court. He kicked off the 2021-'22 season by dropping 29 points against the Houston Rockets, a performance highlighted by Edwards telling opposing head coach Stephen Silas to call a timeout because, as Edwards described it, he was "hot."

On Thursday night, Edwards put together another solid performance, scoring 25 in the T-Wolves' 128-117 win over the Detroit Pistons, which improved their record to 27-25, good enough for the 7th seed right now in the Western Conference. After the game, Edwards decided to reward himself with some Mickey D's, which, like any other milennial, he ordered on his phone. He made this clear at his postgame press conference, where he said he would be taking no questions until he completed his order. Priorities, folks, priorities:

As anyone who has done the mobile ordering thing can attest, it requires your full attention. There's a reason old heads can't be bothered with it and still do things like "call the restaurant" or "go to the drive-thru" or "go inside and order in person" like neanderthals. All that clicking and customizing and app-opening is simply too much for anyone over the age of 50 to handle.

So credit to Edwards for getting this done first, then giving the media his full attention. A true pro's pro. And in case you were wondering, this was all off the value menu. Edwards hasn't gotten truly PAID... yet:

This also explains the "no ice" move, which Giannis Antetokounmpo also made famous at Chick Fil-A following his NBA Finals victory. Ice is a waste of space. These guys know how to maximize their drinks.
