3M Open odds 2023: Cameron Young is back in familiar territory

Coming off a T-6 performance at the John Deere Classic, it was surprising to see Cameron Young's name in the 60-1 and higher range for the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool. He came dangerously close to making the sportsbooks pay for that mistake, finishing in the top eight in the season's final major for the second straight year.

Because of that, now bettors will have to pay up if they want to hop back on the Young train at the 3M Open in Minnesota. He's back in familiar territory, among the favorites at 14-1 on both the DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbooks. Something to note - this will be Young's first appearance at TPC Twin Cities, so there's no course history to speak of.

As for Tony Finau, the solo favorite at 12-1, he has plenty of course form, having won here in 2022 and tying for third in 2020. Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im, both at 16-1, round out the top four favorites on the board.

Then comes a surprising name at 20-1 - Justin Thomas. On name alone, books could make Thomas the solo favorite if they wanted, but Thomas' poor form has him a bit further down the board. He's coming off rounds of 82 and 71 at Hoylake, which marked the second consecutive major he shot a round of 80 or higher in. In between, though, there was a brief glimmer of hope with his T-9 at the Travelers Championship, which featured a third-round 62.
