No matter the club or the swing, I got a repeatable, straight trajectory. The ball height was a little low for my liking, and I was getting more rollout than I expected, but if you're looking for a straight club, this is worth a try.
Lively, punchy face that delivers max distance. I was pleasantly surprised at how far the ball traveled. Even on mis-hits, the shots maintained good distance. The ball did drift more offline than perhaps I would have liked. But, again, no sacrifice of distance.
Across the board was a really effective club that provided excellent distance and launch on centered hits. Off-center hits were adequate both with respect to distance and dispersion. Clean, rounded edges seemed to make the club a little easier to hit.
They look a little too thick and rounded at address. Gives me the feeling that I'm going to hit it a little heavy. But then when I hit them, it's very easy to get underneath the ball and get it airborne. It was very easy to keep the ball straight and high up in the air.
Simple, cool, modern design. Not much offset in the lower or higher-lofted clubs. Sweet spot was very consistent from club to club. However, I didn't feel like it helped me get the ball up in air, especially with the longer clubs. I thought the launch was fairly low, to be honest.
The longer irons really helped in terms of getting the ball to a high enough window where my approach shots could hold the greens. The weighting felt low on the sole, which helped with that launch. Very dynamic off the face no matter where you make impact.
You can visibly see that it's got some help to it. The topline is medium-thick, but not overly so for this category. It's got a really nice, soft feel off the face, especially when you hit it dead-center. It's got some good pop to it, too. Quiet, but strong and confident at impact.
It has a lot of heft to it, but in a positive way. When you hit the ball, you can feel the head moving through it. Gravity and weight are on your side. A few of my mis-hits nearly traveled the same distance as those that hit the sweet spot.
The ball jumps off the clubface, especially from the center. Loss of distance from the rest of the face is pretty minimal. Sounds very pure and it creates a very penetrating ball flight.
I like the 3D printing. Feels like there's some tech in there. In terms of performance, I was taking some deep divots with this one, which means I was hitting everything a little fatter, and not getting clean contact. The times that I did get clean contact, I had to be very deliberate. Not consistent enough for me.
Heavier than I expected. It was a struggle for me to consistently achieve center-face contact, despite the larger clubface. The trajectory was a little bit lower as well.
Middle-of-the road for me. Center strikes came out the right window, while mis-hits were punished a bit in terms of distance and a lower ball flight.
Confidence-inspiring setup. Quite a bit of offset that's visible at address, but not to the point where it's distracting. It has a thickish topline without being too thick. Tons of visible tech from behind that you cannot see at address. It all works together to give you an amazing amount of forgiveness.
Muted sound at impact does make it seem like the ball is not going fast, but the numbers show that the ball speeds are very good. So if you can get used to the sound, the performance is really good in terms of distance and accuracy.
It's forgiving enough. Off-center hits stay in play. There's some workability left and right.
Very classic look. The longer irons had a low face height, whereas the shorter irons looked more compact in size. As far as performance, these tended to dig into the turf a lot, losing a lot of speed before the ball. Moderate distance, even on clean contact.
A very soft feel. It felt like you had the whole clubface to work with in terms of the softness, or receptiveness, of the club. As far as forgiveness, the softness was there, but the ball flight was spinny and floaty. Dispersion from left to right was pretty noticeable.
Very unassuming look and performance all-around. Forgiving, but not off-the-charts forgiving. Enough that I can hit the 5-iron okay, although it was a lower ball flight than I would prefer. Overall, it's pretty controllable.
Performed more like a players distance iron than a game-improvement iron. It wasn't very forgiving. You definitely knew when you hit it off the toe or the heel. You could feel it in your hands and see it in the dispersion. It was a very wide dispersion pattern.
I like the aggressive, powerful look of the club, and it translates well into its performance. The ball flight was just explosive off the face. And with every swing, the shape of the shot was identical. Super repeatable and on the longer side for this category.
It's a pretty unique-looking club with the honeycomb pattern on the back. It's a little bit heavier than some others, but it's evenly balanced, and therefore pretty easy to swing consistently. Distance and direction were also fairly consistent.
I found myself hitting a lot of fades when I typically hit a straight ball, so I don't think it's as forgiving as I'd like. Distance is 10 to 15 yards shorter than what I'd like, probably because of the fade ball flight. All-matte look is really nice touch.
Interesting club. The sound was very cool—it would pop, just like popcorn. The distance was what I expected. But my misses were devastating in terms of being both way offline and significantly shorter. And, for that reason, there's a risk using this club that I don't feel comfortable taking.
