Why We Like It
TaylorMade’s team increased the overall volume of this model to improve forgiveness yet kept the shallow face to give average golfers more confidence that they can get the ball up in the air. To further lower spin, TaylorMade reduced lofts on the Qi10 Max compared to the Stealth HD from last year.
Characteristics
- Larger overall volume provides more stability on off-center hits.
- A shallow face provides confidence for average golfers to get the ball in the air.
- The sole slot and lower variable-thickness-face pattern increases the way the face flexes on low strikes.
- 16, 19, 22 degrees (with fixed hosel)

Reviews
I had a lot of control over this one. I thought it was going to be hard to make contact because the face is so thin, but the few times I was steep or fat, it still fought through the ground and got roughly 80 percent of my distance, which I'll take. This one had similar length to other 5-woods, but it got the ball up in the air a little higher and put some nice spin—more of what I was looking for in a 5-wood.
Alex, 39, Handicap: 11Rewarding in distance. Easy to get in the air. The sound is muted but doesn't take away the feeling of smoothness at impact.
Alejandra, 25, Handicap: 5Swing Your Fairway Wood with Confidence
One of the more difficult shots amateurs face is the long approach that requires a fairway wood. Most players aren’t confident hitting a 3-wood off the ground, and they don’t practice the shot enough to build confidence. In this video, Jason Birnbaum shares his best confidence-building techniques and tips on how to make a solid contact with these long clubs.

TaylorMade Qi10 Max
The Qi10 Max Fairway boasts an ultra-high MOI construction that combines low CG projection with a confidence inspiring 200cc head. Internal mass pads are positioned for maximum forgiveness with weight moved to the extreme low back, making this fairway TaylorMade’s easiest to hit in the line.
An Infinity Crown provides a clean, uninterrupted view at address while also optimizing performance. This shifts more weight lower in the clubhead to maintain high inertia with an enlarged face profile to inspire confidence and generate ball speed.
The Qi10 Max Fairway incorporates proven TaylorMade technologies such as the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket™ to boost speed and laser etched topline for accurate alignment.
