The Week In Style: 11.25.14
What worked -- and what didn't -- this week on tour
November 23, 2014
Stenson's Boss attire was only appropriate given how the Swede played like a boss in grabbing his first win of 2014 at the DP World Tour Dubai Championship last weekend. The subtle geometric print on his Hugo Boss polo is a nice modern break from the solid looks many in the field were wearing. Also, keeping the print in the same shade of blue as his trouser but not the identical color was a next-level move I hope we see more of in 2015.Hugo Boss
Double fisting trophies is one heck of a way to close out your rookie season! Ko won the CME Group Tour Championship in extra holes while also taking the LPGA's year-long points title and the $1 million prize that comes with it! Ko's obviously got a ton of talent and her style looks to be as lighthearted and fun as the 17-year-old's personality.
Our October cover girl looked simply stunning at the LPGA's Rolex Awards Celebration last week, where she won the inaugural Rolex Annika Major award. Named for Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam, the honors went to the best overall player in the year's major championships
A very smart look from G-Mac on Day 1 last week in Dubai. His pants fit perfectly, and in light gray they make for a dressier look that can still coordinate well with every color in your closet.G-Mac by Kartel
Siem continues to cue up high-energy kits in killer colors. If you've got the game to pull of pink pants, go for it, but make sure to take a page from Siem's book and keep your polo in soft shades like light gray or white to limit the contrast and smooth out the look.ecco
This is another super strong, modern look from Nike on one of the game's most stylish young pros. The monochromatic move continues to trend for good reason, and the sharp neon accents throughout Thorbjorn's rig feel fresher than the standard hat, belt and shoe hook-up.Nike
There was a ton of good style at the LPGA's season finale, and Kaufman's hounds-tooth skirt was one of the freshest looks out there. Prints continue to trend in all shapes and sizes, and this is another strong example.
Like prints, the monochromatic move is also becoming more popular on all tours. I know Paula's partial to pink, but she looks pretty killer in this all black setup.adidas
The World No. 1 returned to the course last week after a month away and brought out another solid, modern setup from Nike. These digital mélange polos feel very athletic while still looking sharp and clean. Rors also debuted his red-accented Lunar Control 3s, which paired perfectly with the rest of his rig.Nike
This is how to wear black and white without looking like a waiter! You can keep things basic, but make sure to mix up the top and bottom a little. Appleby does so here by running some black through his shirt with this color-blocked polo.Callaway Apparel
Here's another smart look from Down Under on Australia's Marchesani. The black flat brim and dark belt pick up the black Nike swoosh nicely and the crisp white sneaks help keep this look from feeling too hooked-up.Nike
