Overview
The Plantation course at Kingsmill Resort is an Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay design that offers generous fairways. The par-72 layout, which plays through a housing development, is relatively short, tipping out at under 6,500 yards. Many fairways are tree-lined and a couple par 3s play over deep ravines.

“The resort itself is very nice. The course itself was okay but lacked some character and the conditioning needed some improvement"

“The Plantation Course is the rare layout that is seemingly easy yet difficult to play well. The holes appear to be straight forward and the fairways are generous enough, yet inexact shots are punished and the next thing you know, you are on the bogey train. The routing through a suburban housing development is not terribly interesting, though some of the holes around the turn are excellent and represent the meat of the course. Easily walkable but clearly the red-headed stepchild of the Kingsmill trio."

“Nice layout, fair condition, biggest drawback is the old Bermuda hybrid greens and the re-routed 18th hole due to housing add-ons that eliminated the old 18 green. It was never a strong finish, but it’s overly weak now. It’s a lot cheaper to play than the River, however."
