Overview
This Pete Dye design is the sister course to the Valero Texas Open’s TPC San Antonio Oaks course. The 7,106-yard par-72 is a tournament course in its own right: It hosted a PGA Tour Champions event from 2011-15. Experience expansive views of a beautiful 700-acre nature preserve as you’re tested by the Canyons’ hilly terrain and signature Dye bunkering.

“Definitely the lesser of the two courses on the property. With the TPC brand on the name, it should be updated to make it a little more challenging and put it in better condition."

“Not a particularly noteworthy course. Expected more from something with the TPC brand and Pete Dye. Couple of driveable par 4's made it more fun. Perhaps the PGA Tour course on property gets more attention, but this needs a little more care and could use some updating to make it more challenging."

“Solid effort that is more playable than many Pete Dye courses. Well worth including on a visit to San Antonio."

“The course is an excellent layout that takes advantage of scenic Texas Hill Country terrain to present a variety of challenges and opportunities on nearly every shot. The use of sand and grass bunkers at the dogleg corners of par 4s and 5s give the golfer the opportunity to pull off heroic shots that put them in position to score below par but only after negotiating challenges on the approach to correctly position on the greens."
