“Old Ralph Plummer design that has been renovated a couple times by Jack Nicklaus and more recently Chet Williams. The course is built on a nice, rolling piece of property that challenges you more as you get closer to the greens. Fairways are relatively wide, but the greens are small and well-guarded. This one will definitely test all aspects of your game. The recently added Par 3 17th hole was really cool. This private club has a very welcoming membership and staff. Be sure to accept any invitation to play here."

“Course did play firm and fast, but it was probably a little slower than they wanted due to 40 days without rain and the need to water to maintain the course. Well-struck drives did roll out in the fairways and well-struck iron shots took one hop and stopped. The greens rolled true. They were smooth and quick. The course featured wide fairways, but there was definitely an optimal route to getting at the flags on each green. The short holes also offered options with club selection off the tee box. Additionally, the green surrounds offered the option of chipping, pitching or putting with closely mowed areas. The rolling nature of the property, along with multiple stream and lake crossings added to the difficulty of shots, while also enhancing the beauty of the course. Some holes played difficult due to length, the uphill bias of holes and the length of the Bermuda rough. Combine that with small greens and deep bunkers and you have a course that will challenge all phases of your game. Walking is permitted."

“Good hole design variety. Fairly wide driving corridors, but native grasses make you pay if you miss big. Conditioning was very good. Greens were consistent, and pretty swift as well considering that they can only cut them so low when it is 100 degrees like the day I played. I found scoring pretty difficult. I hit it great, and still did not come close to my hdcp index. Easy to see why they hold US Open qualifiers here. This has no bearing on the rating, but DAC has possibly the friendliest membership of any club I have ever been to."
