Overview

Located on the sun-soaked south coast of Spain near Marbella sits Los Naranjos Golf Club. The course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., in 1977, was originally part of a partnership with Las Brisas until the neighbors split in 1982. Host of the Spanish PGA Championship in 1989, Los Naranjos is laid out in classic Jones senior style with wide fairways and large greens carrying gentle slopes and guarded by deep visually intimidating bunkers. Built to keep the surrounding ecosystems intact, the course weaves through 170 acres of picturesque property featuring slowly meandering rivers complete with rows of orange trees and the Sierra Blanca mountains in the backdrop. Plenty of holes at Los Naranjos grab your attention, but none more than the long dogleg left par-5 18th with water up the left and protecting the distant finishing green.
