Overview
When Ken Tomlinson set out to build this Grand Strand course, he looked to world-famous designs, such as Merion and Pine Valley. The architect wanted to ensure that his venue would harmonize seamlessly with its natural surroundings. Tidewater does just that: sitting atop a peninsula, the golf course is nestled between the tidal marsh and forest lands in North Myrtle Beach.

“If you like firm and fast, playing golf in Myrtle Beach in middle of summer is a good way to start. The routing flows around saltwater marshes, hardwood forests, and the Intracoastal Waterway at Tidewater. Strategy off the tee was paramount and was key to any approach success as you had to navigate hazards, tree limbs, fairway bunkers and a good bit of other natural hazards. You were given several risk reward choices throughout making it a fun round if your game was on. The green complexes had a good bit of variety allowing for a lot of shot options while also putting strain on your short-game should you not find the putting surface on your approach. The course was aesthetically pleasing and offered a lot of good views and use of the hazard areas throughout. Recommend to stop by if in the area and looking at a more reasonable green fee."

“Very dynamic layout that takes you through tree lined fairways as well as scenic holes along the inter coastal waterways. It was a very enjoyable and diverse round of golf. It held my interest throughout the round."

“Tidewater, designed by Ken Tomlinson, is a gem located in North Myrtle Beach. The numbers 3,4,12 and 13 are great holes along the marsh generally facing Cherry Grove Peach. The par 5 16th green has an "infinity" feel backed by the Intracoastal Waterway making the feel for the distance difficult. When in the Myrtle Beach area , Tidewater should be on your list to play."

“Easily one of the best in the Myrtle Beach area. The holes along the water are incredible. They alone are worth the trip."

“Good routing of the course through the land. Conditions were ok but not great. In the past, this was the place to play in North Myrtle but I feel it needs a refresh."

“Tidewater starts slowly but really hits its stride when you reach the first par 3. From there it's a strong collection of holes that I highly recommend if you're in the North Myrtle Beach area."
