Inniscrone Golf Club: Inniscrone

Though the course was later remodeled by Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, the original concepts that Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner laid out in this debut 1999 design are still evident. The property, 45 miles west of Philadelphia, possessed large ground movements that the architects had to design around, pushing the holes out into what was then woods and countryside where they jumped over streams and ravines. The redesign softened the course's rustic and rougher edges, but this public course remains one of the tougher tests of golf in the greater Philadelphia area requiring supreme driving accuracy and the ability to stay beneath the hole on the tilted greens.
