“Part of a 36-hole facility with Split Rock, Pelham Bay is an old municipal course of NYC featuring an easier layout and some decent classical architecture. Like its sister course, the layout could benefit from a restoration and tree removal but features some nice greens and unique holes. New York City public golf isn't great, but Pelham Bay is slightly above average in this regard."

“Pelham Bay is a solidly-designed course with a lot of variety and shot options, but lacks in maintenance like many of the NYC public courses. There are some unique greens and opportunities to score on some short holes. While never in great shape, the greens roll decently true, and it’s one the rare courses in NYC where you can reliably get a tee time and finish within five hours."
