Overview
Located in the Hamptons just off of Noyac Bay sits the William Mitchell-designed Noyac Golf Club. The parkland-style course opened in 1963 and is set on undulating forested terrain home to tight fairways and small, sloping greens. Tucked into a small 144-acre property, the course still plays over 7,000 yards and forces players to work the ball in multiple directions in order to handle doglegs and narrow approach windows. In recent years, the club underwent renovations headed by Ross Forbes focused on removing trees for expanded views and playing windows, as well as adding penal fescue areas that now border fairways and greens.

“if this course were not in the Hamptons, it could make the top 100. But with all of the other great courses, its just a step below."

“Hidden gem, and shot-makers course. Lot of options off the tee given the undulating terrain and hole length/direction. Speed slots and risk-reward tee-shots on many holes to add challenge and intrigue during a match. Extremely well-conditioned course with very firm and fast greens."

“Conditions were great, with greens and fairways running fast, despite the recent unfavorable hot weather. Each hole feels different from the last, offering the golfer a new look with each succeeding hole. Bunkering in the fairways and around the greens require solid decision making while adding to the aesthetic. Green complexes vary and the nuances in contouring add to the challenge. Nestled amongst some of the best golf courses in the US, Noyac may fall victim to comparisons with its neighbors, but overall, it is both a solid test and fun round of golf."

“After reviewing my entries I've realized this one was not saved in the system. Noyac is a beautiful course and if not for being surrounded by some of the top courses in the country it would most likely be ranked higher. The greens were fast and true. Fairways were firm but playable. Although not a very long and difficult course, the greens can be exceptionally difficult depending on pin placement. I can see how one day the course could be played below par while a short while later above. It has a feel of a New England course while at the same time very much a part of the beach area feel."

“Good property and fun course. A bit manufactured for my taste."

“William F. Mitchell design recently renovated / restored by Ross Forbes, who worked for Mitchell. All new regulation greens construction and green side bunker construction. Hidden gem 6 miles from Shinnecock."

“Not one of the big boys in the area but a great layout. Conditions are usually pretty good and the food is great. Not one to work magic to get on, but not one to turn down either."
