Overview
The Sunset course at Las Campanas is located in the high desert of Santa Fe and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Sangre de Cristo Mountain range along with other mountain ranges in the far distance. Jack Nicklaus did an excellent job of incorporating these features into his target lines off the tees. The course presents some blind shots but overall provides ample room off the tee.

“Las Campanas Sunset course is a 2000 Jack Nicklaus design. The course has 5 very challenging par 3s ranging from 172-222 yards with most of them challenging the player to carry over native desert and and penal brush. Many holes have elevated tee shots and a few have extremely elevated tee shots including the par 4 7th. The par 5s are very risk reward off the tee with the option for long hitters to cut off a lot of distance by trying to carry over the native desert. Overall a great golf course made even better by the surrounding features. "

“Excellent Jack Nicklaus design. Course is right in front of you, but approach shots to well bunkered, medium sized greens are the key to this course. Wind is always a consideration at this course."
