“Great Gorge is a fascinating 27-hole public course in Northwestern NJ. The property was originally part of Hugh Hefner's Playboy Club, but the hotel and resort fell on hard times and are now abandoned. The courses are still in play and among the better public courses in the state. The Quarry 9 initially begins along the abandoned (and creepy hotel) before running along some beautiful quarries with holes 3-5. These holes are certainly the highlights with the remaining holes playing flat and parallel around water. Conditioning is solid."
