“Built on top of rolling hills surrounded by corn fields in NE Nebraska. Course keeps coming at you with great hole after great hole. Well worth the trip to this out of the way public course."

“If you can secure a tee time (sells out the entire season very early in the year), to play at least once per year. The views are beautiful and the course is maturing very nicely with some growth and bunker improvements. You won't forget a round at Landmand!"

“Wow Landmand. What a course – it is on a grand scale on a great piece of property that all around it was flat in the northeast section of Nebraska. Dan Collins did a masterful job of routing the course with wide fairways, massive greens that fit the eye because of the land. A course with two Redans going in different directions one short at 105 yards and one long at 240 yards is a huge plus. Par 73 that featured wide fairways due to the wind. Wind and the greens were the defense of the golf course. A great variety of holes – the three real short par 4’s that were 330 yards or less were very hard due to the semi-blind shots to the green and wickedly tough greens. Besides the redan greens you had a semi-punchbowl the 10th and a partial Biarritz that was at the end of the 640 yard 15th hole. Esthetics was off the chart. Visually the 3rd with a split fairway separated by grass clumps was a really good look. Slope on the 11th at the 560 yard par 5 was reachable with a good drive as the ball caromed off the slope setting up a go for it situation over a chunk of fescue. Great vistas on basically every shot as you were way above the surrounding area."

“Big golf course, off the charts with unique character. This course will ask you to hit every shot you have and some you don’t, but it does it in a fair manner and if played well it will yield good scores. My advice is to ignore your score and enjoy playing one of the most creative and unique courses you will ever play. Your best friends (or worst enemy) on the course will be 1. Your yardage book 2. Your putter. Enjoy!"

“With its extremely wide fairways and massive green sizes, Landmand is one of the most unique courses ever built and should definitely be played at least once."

“This place is a must see. Unique golf course. Can play completely different every time with the myriad of pin placements and having more than one predominant wind direction. One downside is the choice of grass used. I think it is a bluegrass and it does not allow for consistent roll out or bounces around the greens. The sticky blades grab your irons when chipping. I think with a different type of grass these issues would be alleviated...maybe it will settle in a couple years?"

“Landmand is a unique experience that most golfers seem to love. Admittedly, some of the greens were a bit over the top for me, but I appreciate the effort to be bold."
