Overview
As if destined to be a golf course, TPC Twin Cities was built on the site of a former sod farm. The Arnold Palmer design 15 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul has hosted the PGA Tour’s 3M Open since 2019. A past member of our Best in Minnesota list, TPC Twin Cities plays among native prairie grasses and includes 27 bodies of water, notably at the par-5 18th, where a large lake guards the right side of the fairway and the front of the green.

“This private Tournament Players Club course is owned by the PGA Tour and was designed by Arnold Palmer and Tom Lehman, 2000. Lots of water along many of the holes makes requires the player to decide how much he wants to challenge the hazards. It’s located in Blaine, which is 30 minutes north Minneapolis. The PGA Tour plays the 3M Open here at the end of July."

“I had way more fun here than I expected. Though the visuals are very similar, the holes have great variety in the shots they are asking you to make. Except for the par 3s which are very similar. Add to the variety is that the conditions are fantastic. They dumped a lot of sand here to make the fairways run firm. MN has been especially rainy so far this year and I didn't get any mud balls. A person can get spoiled putting on these tour quality greens."
