“Shot options: ; Hole by Hole comments:Hole #1: I have a big issue with the fairway bunker on this hole, as it hurts the shorter/esser player, while doing nothing to the longer player. ; Hole #2: Surprisingly tough hole, created by uphill approach shot and very firm green. Good risk/reward trying to drive it over fairway bunker; Hole #3: Lots of options on this hole, and depends greatly on wind and pin position. Hole makes you think from the tee shot into the green. Fairway bunkers are no joke, almost a shot penalty. Would be great to have another bunker or hazard protecting the front left to make this even better hole; Hole #4: Hole can change a lot depending on pin. Strangely enough, the pin back left over a bunker is the easiest, while front right is tough with false front. ; Hole #5: Could be great hole if fairway bunker were better placed, not risk off tee for good player. But elevated green makes approach important to hit properly. ; Hole #6: Fairway bunkers across entire fairway removes all shot options and risk/reward, could be greatly improved with staggered bunkering.; Hole #7: Requires strong tee shot, even more so with wind, but not much shot options, unless you view hitting to the back to avoid the water in front. ; Hole #8: Good risk/reward hole if hit long enough drive and go for it, while lay up makes hole play with a lot less risk. ; Hole #9: Lots of options, can drive it in at least 4 places, green has plenty of tough pins, have to think all the way through on this. ; Hole #10: Fairway bunkers create some options, but could be better if they were 40 yards off green instead of 110 yards; Hole #11: A sneaky good hole, nearly all pins make you think of where you want to miss. And hole can play very differently depending on the pin - front left looks easy, but isn't given false front/sides, while back right makes you fly the bunker. ; Hole #12: Requires fade drive around tree. I think shot options would be better if fairway bunker were closer to green, makes hole easier for better player while penalizing others. ; Hole #13: Improved green shape enables long shots to middle of green. Lots of hazards, so have to place approach well, but still can go at the green in 2. ; Hole #14: Requires solid drive, which is made harder in cross wind, bunkers are real hazards. ; Hole #15: Hole could be great, but the fairway bunker is poorly placed, and takes away what could be some great shot options. Over this shallow green makes you think hard on the approach shot. ; Hole #16: Not much on shot options, but doesn't take away from the greatness on this hole, as have to hit 2 solid shots to par it. ; Hole #17: Not much on shot options, if there are any worries, just play short right and chip up from there. ; Hole #18: Would be a great short par 5 finisher, but instead a semi-dumb long par 4 with blind approach. Not much in options, and no risk/reward, with random punishment because of blind shot. ; : Challenge: More challenge than would think for a 6700 yard course, as not a lot of obvious birdie holes. Firm greens make it hard to get close that often.; Layout variety: Fair amount of straight hole, would be great to space out the par 5's. ; Aesthetics: Fun walk in the park, but nothing great; Conditioning: greens are in great shape, very firm, and roll well. Big issue I have is shallow sand in bunkers.; Character: It’s a better than average showing of architecture from the 1920's, but changed by Lehman into something that doesn't represent that time much any more, other than the flat bottom bunkers; Fun: good solid fun, but nothing spectacular"

“It's gotten better over the years but still needs more trees removed. The greens are really fun to putt on with true roll and speed. But the course feels like it's trying too hard to copy elements of everyone else and doesn't own their identity."

“Playable course that all can enjoy, with enough challenge for better players. Nothing spectacular but a solid course and operation."
