Overview
A past member of our 100 Greatest list, Tullymore has exciting design variety with five par 5s and five par 3s. The course winds through 800 acres of woods and wetlands and features the unique "muscle" bunkers and bowled greens that architect Jim Engh became known for when he was designing some of the most distinctive new golf courses in the late 1990s and 2000s. One of two courses at the resort, Tullymore has previously been ranked for 18 years on our 100 Greatest Public, debuting at No. 14 in 2003.

“A tale of two different 9's, shot maker's front, strength back. Back better holes."

“The greens at Tullymore are superb. 18 completely different greens unlike one another. Boomerang, double tiered, punchbowl, long and skinny etc... A bevy of pin positions can vastly change how challenging the course plays. Enough undulation and contouring to help challenge the better player while still being playable for the weekend golfer. Quite a bit of variety in hole length and design. Long par 3s with large greens, and shorter par 3s with small target greens. Good variety of dogleg right and left and a number of short par 4s which are fun to play as they require the golfer to think strategically how much risk/reward they're willing to accept. The course winds through nature and feels like the golfer is secluded. Although there is great shot variety from tee to green, around the greens most of the greens are surrounded by rough, which somewhat dictates the type of shot needed. While there are a few houses on the property, they do not distract from the overall feel of the golf course. This is a course that could be played everyday as each approach and tee shot can be played a variety of different ways. A good challenge for the better player while still being quite fair and playable to the average golfer. Greens roll true and fairways fast and firm."

“Tullymore can be a beast from the back tees, but the layout and conditioning make this a must stop if heading to MI for a golf trip. The course is interesting, well maintained, and keeps you on your toes. The hospitality and service is also top notch"
