“Woodland GC is a Donald Ross and Wayne Stiles course just outside Boston that is probably most noteworthy as the longtime club of Francis Ouimet. The course is a solid private club that exists in the shadow of more prominent clubs, but a round a Woodland is a fun Boston experience, with the subway train passing through the course, and busy Mt. Auburn Hospital across the street. Despite a relatively small property, the course packs many sloping greens and engaging holes into its 6500 yards, and a recent Tyler Rae bunker renovation has the bunkering looking sharp."
