“For the history buffs, this is one of the purest golf experiences in America. Sconset goes back to the late 19th century and gives a good approximation of how golf was played in the early days. Rock hard fairways are irrigated by mother nature, meaning that the ground game is in full effect for most of the year. The course has plenty of variety in 2600 yards, including a semi-blind par five and two ball-busting par threes, one of which is the first hole! The rest of the golf on Nantucket is private or pricey (and quite nice), but the soul of golf on the island found at Sconset"
