Overview
One of two links-style courses at Harborside International, the Starboard course is an open, rugged layout just south of Chicago. Given how exposed the property is, wind can often play a factor. The course has a strong finishing three-hole stretch that plays along Lake Calumet, highlighted by the signature par-3 17th, where water lurks short and right of the hourglass-shaped green.

“Links style course with unexpected undulations and rolling fairways. Good mix of short and long holes."

“May be the best public course within 15 minutes of downtown. Watch out for the wind, which almost always blows strong on this high site. Uncertain value here, as greens fees run high."

“Well run if unspectacular golf operation. This is the better of the two courses."

“You definitely pay the price for a really nice public course within a 30 minute drive of downtown. Weekend rates will run you closer to $100. Both courses are similarly challenging, Starboard is probably a little longer and harder. A lot of improvements made recently reducing and repairing bunkers on course."
