Arrowhead Golf Club: East

Review

“Arrowhead is a gret public golf facility not too far outside of Chicago. Each of the three 9s traverses a unique part of the property and plays a bit differently. The courses are very well maintained and it the staff is hospitable and friendly. If you are looking for a legitamate course at a good value around Chicago, Arrowhead is a great option. The East nine in particular requires a number of tricky shots on holes that include a long and straight par 5 opener sandwiched between the OB road on the left and creek on the right. The middle three holes go up an extreme elevation with one green perched atop the hill and the next tee shot hitting down to the fairway some 50 feet below the tee. The closing hole is a dramatic requiring a tee shot to a fairway pinched between two lakes on either side. The is a very diverse and interesting 9 and part of a great facility overall."
