Overview
Ranked 8th for Golf Digest’s Best New Upscale Public Course of 2002, the Oconee course is known for its risk-reward shot options and views of the serene Lake Oconee on five holes. Forced carries over water inlets and opportunities to cut corners on tree-lined doglegs make this Rees Jones design a pleasure to play.

“Enjoyable resort facility with nice variety of holes augmented by a wide variety of tees to accommodate all levels of players, but still a challenge for the beginner and the low handicapper. Nice setting, solid conidtioning, and a great deal of fun to play. Rees Jones made strategic use of water in the design and gives the golfer ample opportunity for risk reward options. Well worth the visit."

“An extremely fun and beautiful course that offers a lot of tee boxes for players of all skill. The views on the back nine are especially great with fun holes throughout. Many of the holes offer one side or the other as bailouts, which helps keep the round fun for all. The service also is excellent with a great practice facility, carts coming around with snacks and beverages, and a halfway house. I highly recommend getting to the course a bit early, if only to walk out through the tunnel to the putting green -- a very fun experience to an immaculate green"
