Overview
Conveniently located next to Disney World, Waldorf Astoria is a challenging Rees Jones-designed layout. Unlike many resort courses which are forgiving off the tee, Waldorf Astoria’s landing areas are demanding, with water, trees and native brush lining many fairways. Jones incorporated design features from the Golden Age of architecture, notably at par-3 seventh, where the Biarritz green has a significant dip in the middle.

“Excellent resort course, good test with the Driver and having to hit straight tee shots plus work the ball both ways, par 3s are fun to play, The area off the fairways have been cleaned out so better at not losing as many balls for the average golfer, Service is very good at the course and should be in top 3-4 courses in Orlando even if a little hard to find the course within Disney. Greens are usually in excellent shape but tends towards slow pace and course is over watered Excellent risk/reward hole on par 4 13th hole Should be played if you are coming to Orlando"

“Solid Forida lay out and nice conditions. I would recommend the course, other than the price tag."

“In the process of having last few holes re-worked as part of a construction project. Plaing during the winter with overseeded fairways makes the course more difficult--not much roll. Usually in pretty good condition. Greens are very good."

“Found this to be a very tough test of golf. Probably a little too tough for the "resort golfer". Located on the Disney property, it may be a reprieve for many getting away from the parks for a day. There really aren't many bailout areas. Most holes are lined with thick Florida brush down the side in both directions if you aren't clearing water hazards. That being said it contains a good mix of holes and found the par 3's to be a real fun test. Majority of greens are perched up in typical Rees Jones fashion. From a service standpoint this place is tough to beat in the Orlando area. Enjoy the day but be prepared to lose some golf balls throughout your round."
