Overview
The Copperhead course is most famous for hosting the PGA Tour's Valspar Championship every April, but Innisbrook is home to three more championship courses—Island, North and South—with views more like the sand hills of the Carolinas than you might expect in Florida. The Copperhead course is a tough ball-striking challenge with tight, tree-lined fairways and a demanding three-hole finish—known as the Snake Pit—that often makes for dramatic finishes to the annual PGA Tour stop.

“I can understand why the Pros love this place Really a great mixture of long par 3’s and some great par 4’s. The par 5’s can be a risk or reward. I definitely will be watching on TV to see how the pros play it."

“Wonderful routing using all of the lakes on the course to the advantage of each hole. Nice elevation changes for a FL course. Excellent playing conditions with turf firm and fast. Nice green contours. Good distinctiveness and design variety. One of the best courses in FL. I see why the pros do not score so well here. It is difficult while being fair."

“Testing traditional layout with more trees than I expected in Florida. We played just before the Valspar PGA Tournament and the fairways were a bit tight and the rough long. Very scenic water holes and in great shape. Although it's a resort course, you need to be a decent player to really enjoy it."

“Very compelling course, plays fair. Water hazards are one of the course's defense. Bermuda rough is the other. Very good conditioning. The overall quality and service within the resort also adds to the luster of the Copperhead course experience."

“Tough course, but feels dated like the 1960's. Not very memorable or enjoyable."

“Great test of golf from the tips. Resort style course, but still some seclusion from the hole-side homes/hotels/condos/apartments. Good luck on the 605-yard uphill par 5! The Snakepit is somewhat iconic now, especially since the PGA Tour makes an annual stop at Copperhead (Valspar). Definitely a little pricey, and not the greatest bang for the buck."

“This is a well run resort course, but nothing over the top, which is reflected in the pricing. Everything is good from service people, practice areas, and pro shop. Locker rooms are small with few amenities. Food is excellent. Copperhead offers a nice outdoor patio overlooking the first tee and practice green."
