Overview
Dating back to the 1920s, East Potomac has long been a fixture in our nation’s capital, offering accessible public golf with stunning views of the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial. Sitting on the Potomac River across from Reagan Airport, East Potomac hosted the second edition of the U.S. Amateur Public Links in 1923. The National Links Trust, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring the nation’s preeminent municipals, has recently made a multi-million-dollar investment in Washington, D.C.’s three premier public layouts, including East Potomac.

Review
“A historic municipal course in our nation's capital, East Potomac Park occupies a unique property on an island in the middle of the Potomac River. The water views are nice and the course offers great views of nearby Reagan Airport and Washington Monument. Originally designed by Walter Travis as a reversible layout, sadly many of these design features have been lost and today's routing is certainly in need of a renovation. Worth a play for the history, walkability, and setting, but don't expect great golf architecture or conditioning here."

“Thank God for this course! Basic golf for sure and always sketchy conditioning, but great views and without it I would have nowhere to sneak out of work to golf."
