“Jack's course in the East Bay area of Pleasanton, The back 9-holes can play VERY long when the wind is blowing. Fairways and greens run true and fast, but the course is forced to apply more water than they would prefer to on the greens during the summer time (due to the wind) to avoid them getting burned out. A good walk through an interesting layout. I've played this course numerous times, and the day we played, the weather was hot so the ball was flying. Shot options are "ok" with many holes requiring a well placed layup due to the punishment of missing the fairway. Like many Nicklaus courses, his over use of the bunkering complexes is evident around the course. The Par 3's are fun and interesting. Hole #18 is a great way to end the day especially when going for the green in (2) while having to clear the small lake protecting an elevated green. Play in the morning if you can when the wind is down and the temps are cooler."

“A nice country club in a housing development that was in good condition, with fairways, large undulating greens which were guarded by bunkers. Best holes # 10 par 4 and # 18 par 5."
