“Is Quarry Pines the best conditioned course in Tucson? No. Is it the toughest track in the area? No. Is there a huge impressive clubhouse with caddies waiting to take you out? No. Should you play it? YESSSSS! There are a few holes along the interstate, and a few are really nothing beyond average, but those few holes in and around the Quarry are worth the price of admission. I was lucky enough to play with some old timers and they kept saying, "give it a few more holes". I am so glad I did. Unless you've played in a quarry before it will be nothing like you've ever seen before. Forced carry par 3 over a cavern to a well protected green. Elevated tee to a fairway with a sheer drop down the left side. Get some local knowledge and cut a few dog leg corners and you'll be rewarded with a birdie putt or two. You HAVE to stop here if in the area. Should you play Dove Mountain or Ventana Canyon? By all means yes. But don't miss out on this little gem."
