Overview

Designed by Tom Fazio, the Raptor Course is one of two 18-hole layouts at Grayhawk. The course, which hosted the PGA Tour's Frys.com Open between 2007-'09, features generous fairways and greens, and has been lauded for excellent conditioning. The Raptor Course also hosted the NCAA Men's and Women's Division I Golf Championships from 2021-'23.

Review

“The Raptor Course at Grayhawk is one of two Fazio courses within the Grayhawk community. Great condition for a public course that receives a ton of play especially in the early fall when the weather starts to cool down. The Raptor features larger fairways and greens than its sister course (Talon), but both are very playable and enjoyable from every tee box. The green fees are a little pricey but worth it for some beautiful scenic desert play. The course does a nice job of moving the players along in hopes of achieving a 4.5 hour round."

“The better of the two courses at Grayhawk. Great conditioning and an interesting routing. Fun desert golf with a cart. Right amount of elevation change and water hazards. And Phil's Grill is right off 18 which is something to look forward to as the round nears the end. Only downside is the amount of real estate that is visible from the course."

“Great desert golf course; challenging. If you don't like desert golf course, do not play here. In excellent shape with great practice facility (grass, short game area, putting green). First rate. Nice choice of multiple restaurants too. Not inexpensive though ---- over $200 unless you find last minute deals online. Overall a fun golf course/resort to play. Would definitely play this one when in Scottsdale."
