Overview
The Tom Weiskopf-designed Meadow course at Forest Highlands is a parkland layout that plays among tall pines, wildflowers and scenic wetlands. The Meadow course has hosted three USGA championships: the 2006 U.S. Mid-Amateur (co-host), 2014 U.S. Girls Junior and 2019 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur. A relatively flat layout, the course is easily walkable and offers beautiful views of the San Francisco Peaks, most notably on the 14th and 15th holes. The course has consistently been ranked in the top 15 on our Best in Arizona list.

“Greens not as severe as Canyons course but have more movement overall. Cut through the tall pines, course has some monster par 5s including the uphill #18. Course in wonderful shape, bunkers show and play very well. Great mix of doglegs and straight holes with some dramatic sharp turns requiring good tee shots."

“Located in Flagstaff, Arizona, Forest Highlands Golf Club has two courses, The Canyon and The Meadow. This scenic Tom Weiskopf(1999) has tall pines, lakes, wildflowers and wetlands situated in a mountain meadow. The course has more generous fairways than the Canyon course and less undulating greens."

“If you have the opportunity to enjoy Forest Highlands, do not say no. Walk, run, crawl, fly, drive - whatever it takes to get there, do it. One of the best examples of high altitude golf in the country."

“Both courses at Forest Highlands are exceptional. the setting, the breathing room separating the courses and the real estate, the variety from hole to hole. just an incredible experience. The Canyon gets all the shine, but Meadow is also great. For the first time in a long time that i can remember, I used all 14 clubs in the bag."
