You won't believe how far this Web.com Tour pro can hit a football through the goalposts
We all know how long tour pros are capable of hitting golf balls, but how about footballs? It's probably not a burning question for golf fans, but the folks at the Web.com Tour decided to try it out. And you'll be impressed by the results.
Ahead of this week's Albertsons Boise Open, Rick Lamb attempted to make field goals by hitting a football with an iron. He started from 33 yards and drilled it. And if you think, that's not a big deal, keep in mind that NFL kickers missed five times from that distance on point after attempts in Week 1. Anyway, check it out:
It's tough to see where that last attempt from 45 yards ended up, but based on the reactions, it seems like Lamb made it. Unfortunately for Lamb, the "hit it low and hard" strategy didn't work in the first round of the tournament as he struggled to a 73. But on the bright side, he's already got his PGA Tour card for next season wrapped up -- and now he's also found a new way to show off at parties.
