There are putter-changers and then there are putter-changers. Count Russell Knox among the latter. Although ranked among the top 50 players in the world, Knox has a penchant for not only constantly changing things up on the greens, but not always doing so in conventional fashion. Earlier this season Knox used Cure’s RX5 putter, a behemoth of a blade along with an adjustable hosel system that gave the club somewhat of an erector-set look. At the RBC Heritage, Knox switched to a SeeMore FGP Mini Giant putter after working with SeeMore’s Ted Gallina on some drills. Knox has worked on and off with Gallina since he won on the 2011 Chiquita Classic on the Web.com Tour with a SeeMore putter. “We got it figured out,” said Knox at the time. “I just have to put in the time.” Knox had the SeeMore FGP Giant in the bag at the Travelers where he won the title while ranking T-19 in strokes gained/putting.
