Wilson Staff Model RB Utility iron: Wilson sought input from its staff of professionals to get the ideal aesthetics for this hollow-bodied, long-iron alternative, and those visual accents also led to a more forgiving design. With elite professionals Padraig Harrington and Kevin Kisner offering guidance on what they were looking for, the RB Utility features a thinner topline that allowed for saved weight to be redistributed low and in the toe for both an easier launch and more forgiveness on mishits. The face insert is made of a high-strength C300 steel alloy. 18, 21, 24 degrees. Available July 9.

Wilson Staff Model golf balls (2024): Wilson’s Staff Model golf ball not only has received an update, but gets a twin as well. Previously a single model, now the balls come in the standard Staff Model and a firmer Staff Model X. Both are four-piece, cast-urethane construction with an emphasis on delivering low spin off the tee and high spin around the greens. The Staff Model has a mid-compression core for a slightly softer feel and flatter trajectory. The Staff Model X has a compression of 104 and is the firmest ball in Wilson’s entire line and produces added height on approach shots. Wilson engineers tested prototypes with its advisory staff members and the following tour players have put the ball in play: Brendan Steele, John Augenstein, Quade Cummins, Ricky Barnes, Martin Trainer and Willie Mack III. “The fact that we have tour players making the switch to play our Staff Model balls speaks volumes to the favorable numbers they are obtaining on launch monitors,” said Frank Simonutti, global director of golf ball Innovation. “Elite golfers looking for higher velocity and spin will benefit from the X ball while the new Staff Model will be the perfect choice for golfers who generate enough spin on their own.” The Staff Model and Staff Model X will be available at retail in both white and yellow colors starting Jan. 12 at $50 a dozen.

Wilson Staff Model CB, Blade irons: Wilson Golf has consistently evolved its approach to players irons, resulting in a string of well-received models, most recently the Staff Model CB and Staff Model blades. Both receive an upgrade; however, the primary idea was to do so as a family of irons rather than individual models, making it easier to blend sets as better players are often inclined to do. That meant both irons feature common lines and weighting, similar aesthetic details and parallel performance attributes. The face milling on both allows for longer ball-to-face contact for more consistent spin. $1,200 for a seven-piece set in steel (4-PW with 2- and 3-irons available through custom order)
