What’s in My Bag: Neal Shipley
Have you ever wondered what is inside those massive staff bags caddies lug around on the professional tours? We have you covered. Golf Digest’s revamped "What’s In My Bag" treatment deconstructs everything inside a player's bag, from the tiniest ball marker to the supersized driver. Here, PGA Tour rookie (and two-time Korn Ferry Tour winner) Neal Shipley gave us full, unfettered access to his bag. Enjoy the eye candy.

BREAKING THE SPIN CYCLE OFF THE TEE
Over the years, Shipley has fought too much spin with the driver. He’s now using a Ping G440 LST, customized to 6.8 degrees. (His swing adds about 2 degrees of loft at impact.) He also has Ping’s prototype mini driver as a fairway finder.
FACE FACTS
Shipley naturally sets up 2 or 3 degrees right on putts, then rotates the face through. That didn’t work with large mallets, so he putts with this custom Ping PLD Anser 4D blade.
SALTY, NOT SWEET
In addition to the popular hydration mixes, Shipley carries packets of salt. When the 25-year-old native of Pennsylvania mixes salt in his water, he can stay hydrated without the added flavors and sugar.
HOLY ROLLERS
Shipley started playing the 2023 Titleist Pro V1 just before his career took off, and he has stuck with it. Next to the number, he often draws a cross, a nod to his faith.
CLEANER FUEL
Working with a nutritionist, Shipley discovered he has food sensitivities. He overhauled his eating on and off the course with a gluten-free, low-inflammation diet.
