Weird Golf News Of The Week: Former Supreme Court Justice finds 'stolen' wallet and keys in friend's golf bag

February 05, 2015

On January 13, a retired justice of New York's Supreme Court set off a minor alarm in Florida's Marion County Sheriff's office.

After playing a round at Rainbow's End Golf Club, the former justice couldn't find his wallet, which contained "$30 cash, credit cards and a Retired New York Supreme Court Justice badge," or keys anywhere in his bag. After checking with the course, the justice decided to report the items stolen. Area police quickly included it in their daily crime round-up.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));[#facebook: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=865816550105621]

A few weeks later, the former justice cracked the case himself. Apparently both items ended up in one of his friend's golf bags and the remnants remained untouched. Honest mistake; mystery solved. Good work, everyone.
