Webb Simpson and Peter Malnati have been elected by the PGA Tour’s membership to be co-chairmen of the Player Advisory Council (PAC), the tour announced on Wednesday. The vote took place on Tuesday night in a PAC meeting at the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club.

Simpson, 36, whose seven tour wins include the U.S. Open and Players Championship, and Malnati, 34, a past champion of the Sanderson Farms Championship, will lead the 16-member PAC. They join Charley Hoffman and Rory McIlroy on the Policy Board and succeed James Hahn and Kevin Kisner. They prevailed in the vote over fellow candidates Patrick Cantlay and Billy Horschel.

The PAC serves an advisory and consulting role with the PGA Tour’s Policy Board (Board of Directors) and Commissioner Jay Monahan.

The full PAC, which was announced in January, beyond the previously mentioned players, is: Paul Casey, Austin Cook, Joel Dahmen, Harry Higgs, Russell Knox, Brooks Koepka, Justin Lower, Graeme McDowell, Maverick McNealy, Trey Mullinax, Jon Rahm and Will Zalatoris.
