Weather keeps Tiger indoors on eve of Open
ST. ANDREWS, Scotland -- With rain and wind pounding St. Andrews, Tiger Woods skipped practice and a scheduled round at the Old Course on Wednesday.
Woods arrived on the weekend and played three consecutive days, including 16 holes on Tuesday with Mark O'Meara. With a new putter and a new ball in the bag, another day of preparation wouldn't hurt any player, yet the weather was hardly ideal to anyone preparing for a major championship.
Woods is scheduled to tee off in Thursday's opening round at 9:09 a.m. (4:09 a.m. EDT) with Justin Rose and Camilo Villegas.
