Holes-in-one will always be worthy of our attention. But when it's someone like Jarrod Lyle, a two-time cancer survivor, making those highlights -- they feel just a little more special.
Lyle holed out on Thursday in his first round at the fifth hole. A pretty cool moment when you consider his back story. And to happen in one of the marquee events on the Gold Coast, it makes it even cooler.

Lyle is T-21 after two rounds at the RACV Royal Pines Resort. No matter how it ends, at least he has this moment, with countryman Ian Baker-Finch, calling his memorable shot.
With the leukemia survivor contemplating his future in pro golf -- not having status on any major tour -- it's easy to wish for the best for this Aussie. Maybe there's more good fortune like this to come.
