Watch the Oregon mascot nearly decapitate a cheerleader with a golf club (Don't worry, she's OK)

The Oregon Ducks got killed by Washington State on Saturday, but thankfully, all of the school's cheerleaders survived. Even after a close call involving the team's mascot and a golf club.

Check out this video captured by the Oregon men's golf team, which was on the sideline during the 33-10 loss to the Cougars. The Oregon Duck takes a swing with a golf club and nearly decapitates a cheerleader running by. This could have been bad:

"Game of inches!" Great caption. And great reflexes by that cheerleader.

Later, the team shared a video of alum Peter Jacobsen chipping in the end zone.

For future football games, maybe it would be wise to keep any golf club handling to the pros.
