After shooting consecutive 73s in the second and third rounds, Shane Lowry was well out of contention Saturday during the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open.

He started the round on Torrey Pines South Course with three bogeys in the first four holes and a birdie on the par-3 third hole. After par on the fifth hole and a 303-yard drive on the sixth that found the fairway, the Irishman was 256 yards from the pin.

He holed the shot to make an albatross and quickly move from two over on the day to one under.

After the ball is struck you can hear Lowry beg for the ball to “go.” It listened. The ball hit on the fringe and kicked slightly right and started heading toward the flagstick. It actually hit the stick and appeared to miss the bottom of cup for a split second before falling.

It was the first albatross in the event since Jason Gore made one on the 18th hole during the third round of the 2016 tournament.

Lowry made three more birdies and two bogey from there to shoot two-under 70 on the round and tie for 25th place at six-under total, seven shots behind winner Matthieu Pavon.
