Watch Ray Allen hole a spectacular approach shot while playing with John Daly

January 12, 2018

In addition to being one of the NBA's all-time greatest perimeter shooters, Ray Allen was always one of the league's best golfers. And not surprisingly, Allen's golf game has stayed formidable now that he's officially retired (Sorry, LeBron) from his day job.

Allen currently holds a 0.5 handicap index (although, he's been as low as a plus 1.1), and during Friday's first round of the Diamond Resorts Invitational -- an event that pairs celebrities with PGA Tour Champions and LPGA players in a modified stableford format -- the long-range master knocked in a shot from well beyond three-point range. He certainly impressed playing partner John Daly. Check it out:

Perhaps even more spectacular was Allen's outfit. How many times has John Daly not had the loudest ensemble in his group? Plaid pants with a neon shirt AND a white belt? Bold.
