Watch playing partners John Huh and Jarrod Lyle hole out for eagle on consecutive shots

October 16, 2015

It may have only been the first day of the new PGA Tour season, but it already provided golf fans with a highlight that's going to take a lot to be topped. Well, two highlights, wrapped into one, that is.

On Silverado's par-5 16th, John Huh and Jarrod Lyle both holed their third shots for unlikely eagles. Huh knocked his in from 122 yards, and then Lyle followed by holing out from 64 yards. Check it out:

While those were the two best shots of the day on the PGA Tour, amazingly, they weren't the craziest highlights in golf from Thursday. In Fiji, Matt Kuchar saw the wind blow one of his putts in, and Alvaro Quiros had a tap-in bounce out of the cup in Portugal.

Speaking of which, Lyle is probably a bit lucky his ball stayed in the cup with Huh's. Then again, he could use a break. The two-time cancer survivor is making his return to the PGA Tour and has 10 events to earn $217,680 to keep his card. With that shot highlighting a first-round 69, the Aussie is off to a pretty good start.
