Watch one of the longest Golden Tee drives known to man

June 02, 2016

On Thursday, the USGA/R&A released findings that, despite public opinion, increase in driving distance on professional tours has been minimal.

The same can't be said for the Golden Teen circuit.

The golf arcade manufacturer posted a video of one of the longest drives ever recorded in the game, a 516-yard bomb:

Amazingly, this isn't the record holder. According to Golden Tee, the mark belongs to a 561-yard drive logged in 2008.

As an owner of the bar-room game, as well as someone who passed fifth-grade physics, I'm calling shenanigans. The ball in the video somehow gains speed going up a hill! And no, this skepticism has nothing to do with the fact I've never hit one farther than 330.
