Watch Matthew McConaughey give University of Texas students rides home in a golf cart
In recent years, we've been made aware that Matthew McConaughey loves to drive Lincolns through a series of some of the most overdramatic car commercials ever made. But earlier this week, the movie star got attention for driving something else.
On Monday night, McConaughey used a golf cart to give University of Texas students rides home. No, it wasn't part of a new movie, but rather a way to promote the school's new SURE Walk program, which is a hotline that ensures students don't have to walk home alone.
The university's student government also posted this video that includes some great reactions when the actor and celebrity golfer showed up as a chauffeur.
McConaughey, who lives in Austin, is a 1993 grad of UT.
