Following a rough finish to the second round of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open, Laura Davies knew she wouldn't make the cut at the Ladies European Tour event. Before she left the premises, however, Davies decided to part ways with a piece of equipment.
As soon as she tapped in for a closing double bogey, Davies tossed her putter into the lake by the 18th green at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in Abu Dhabi. Check it out:
But give the Hall of Famer some credit for showing at least a bit of restraint. If you watch closely, Davies was eying that lake seconds earlier after a lipout for bogey, but she decided to hold onto the putter until after she had tapped in.
And she calmly handed her golf ball to her caddie. Which raises the question: How did she know it was the putter's fault and not the ball's?
