Watch Jordan Spieth beat the horn, celebrate like he won the tournament
Jordan Spieth had a bogey-free 68 in the third round of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship to move into a tie for 15th place. But the highlight of his day? Simply being able to finish his round.
With fog delaying play in the desert for a second consecutive day, many in the field were unable to complete their rounds. As darkness started to take over, Spieth rushed to the ninth tee (his final hole of the round) and hit his tee shot. About a second later, the horn sounded to stop play: Check out the rare golf buzzer-beater:
Why such an exuberant reaction from Spieth and the rest of his group? They now avoid an early wake-up call on Sunday to play one hole.
