Although a fan-favorite event since its inception in 1960, the Wednesday Par-3 Contest has grown in stature since its introduction to television in 2008. The Par-3 Contest has also become "family day" at Augusta National, as many of the players allow friends, significant others and children to carry their bags, and even hit some shots.
